In the September 2026 cycle of HumanizerBench, a public monthly benchmark published by WriteHuman, it finished 11th of 14 tools, with a detector pass rate of 64.37% and a score of 21.79% on marketing copy. WriteHuman placed first, with a 90.12% pass rate. The verdict: the free tier, 1,200 words per run with no account, is a fair scratchpad for short, low-stakes text you will edit anyway. Paying $12 to $39 a month is hard to justify for client or professional work. Only two of the 14 tools tested had a lower detector pass rate, and marketing copy was its weakest format. The refund offer also ends after 2,000 words of use, less than one full-length Pro input.

What is Super Humanizer?

Super Humanizer (styled SuperHumanizer on superhumanizer.ai) is a browser rewriter with two modes: Super Lite, a single pass, and Super Ultra, which the site says validates output in the background. Seven tone presets such as Blog and Formal sit beside a hidden-Unicode cleaner, and Pro and Advanced subscribers get a "Premium" engine. The company also sells an API, from $29 a month for 150,000 words (Starter) to $249 for 1.5 million (Scale), with 1,000 free trial words. The site links a Chrome extension (version 0.1.1) plus Android and iOS apps.

How much does Super Humanizer cost?

Prices as read from Super Humanizer's pricing page on September 15, 2026, unchanged since June:

Yearly figures are what the page's code displays; the actual checkout charge could not be confirmed without buying. The fine print:

• Basic barely outgrows free. Free runs take 1,200 words with usage the site calls unlimited. Basic adds 300 words per input and a card line promising "Super Ultra Mode," a mode the homepage already offers free visitors; the site does not say whether the free and paid versions differ.
• List price is optional. The pricing page advertises code SUPER20 for 20% off, putting Basic at $9.60.
• The refund has a word cap. Plan cards advertise a 7-day money-back offer. Section 10 of the Terms applies it only if "fewer than 2,000 words have been used on your account," a condition the cards never mention. One full Pro input is 3,000 words. Claims go by email with a payment receipt, and Paddle issues the refund.
• The free allowance moves. Users in the brand's subreddit reported it cut to 300 words per run in April 2026, confirmed by an account speaking for the company, before it returned to 1,200.

How did Super Humanizer score on AI detector tests?

HumanizerBench runs 33 AI-written samples (from GPT-5.5, Claude Sonnet 5 and Gemini 3.5 Flash, across seven formats) through each tool on its entry-level monthly plan: Basic, for both tools. Basic does not include the Premium engine that Super Humanizer reserves for Pro and Advanced, so these results do not cover it. All 33 rewrites from each of the two tools were scored by five detectors: GPTZero, Winston AI, ZeroGPT, Copyleaks and Originality.ai. A meaning check and a readability rating follow. How to read "detector pass rate": HumanizerBench takes the median of the five detectors' human-likelihood scores for each rewrite, on a scale where 100% means read as human-written and 0% means read as AI, then averages the 33 medians. So 64.37% is the score of a typical rewrite, and no pass or fail line is involved.

Super Humanizer's pass rate ranked 12th of 14, and the 95% confidence intervals (48.9% to 79.0%, against 81.0% to 97.6% for WriteHuman) do not overlap, so this is no small-sample fluke. Winston AI showed the widest detector gap, nearly 32 points. Every paid plan card singles out GPTZero as a detector the tool beats; HumanizerBench measured 54.64% there. The two tools were roughly level on ZeroGPT. Detector results explain about 10.8 points of the 17.32-point composite gap, and length penalties another 5. Blog rewrites held up at 88.78%. Marketing copy fell to 21.79%. By our count from the published data, five of six marketing rewrites were read as AI by at least three of the five detectors, and Winston AI scored all six below 50%.

The trend is a partial recovery: composite scores of 64.75 in June (under an earlier method), 54.13 in July, 55.86 in August and 60.97 in September, with the pass rate up from 41.54% to 64.37% in the last month. WriteHuman stayed ahead of Super Humanizer on both measures in all four cycles. Around the July low, users on Reddit complained of incoherent output, and the company replied that it had updated the Super Ultra model on July 1; nothing in the benchmark data ties the two together beyond timing. A bathroom guide every detector scored as human

Given a 442-word weekend bathroom renovation guide, Super Humanizer returned a rewrite all five detectors scored as fully human, with a readability rating of 0.08 out of 1, its lowest of 33 (WriteHuman's rewrite of the same source: 0.66). The day-by-day plan vanished, the title came back numbered "4." and every section after it "1.", and sentences came apart:

Glued words, and a leak that became leeks

Claude Sonnet 5's version of the same guide came back with run-together words ("Thisisalso a good time to remove old towel racks," "orcaulk scraper"), semi-gloss paint rewritten as "asemi-glassor satinfinish," and an instruction to "check for leeks around the entire house," a scope the source never set. Seven headings shrank to one. Readability: 0.22, against 0.52 for WriteHuman.

A landing page handed back unchanged

On a 296-word landing page for a 10k training app, Super Humanizer dropped the source model's preamble, stripped the formatting and returned every remaining word in its original order. GPTZero, Winston AI and Copyleaks each scored it 0% human; Originality.ai, 0.18%. WriteHuman's rewrite of the same page scored 96.3%, 96.6%, 100% and 75.9% on those four.

Details nobody asked for

No detector score flags an invented detail, but a client reading the copy will. A herb-garden kit gained a pasta ("ready to brighten up anything from Orecchiette to pesto") and "six pouches" of seed packets the source never counted. A houseplant listicle gained hashtags the original lacked, "#plantenvy" and "#urbanjungle." Snake plants went from "basically indestructible" to "a challenge to keep these plants alive." Treat these as single examples, not a measured rate. Sentence by sentence its marketing rewrites read smoothly, which is how a pasta in a herb kit slips past a quick skim.

Habits repeat across its 12 blog and marketing rewrites: bold stripped from every input that used it, subheads promoted to top-level headings in at least six, and run-together words in four of the six blog posts. Five of its 33 rewrites ran more than 40% longer than the source, which cost the 5 penalty points; WriteHuman took none. Outside the benchmark, a small AI-tools blog with no affiliate link to the product found similar drift, including a detail the original never contained. Can you trust Super Humanizer's built-in AI detector?

Not as a separate check. The homepage advertises "SuperHumanizer's own detector trained on millions of samples," while the Privacy Policy says your text goes to an unnamed outside provider to generate the detection score. Either way, the number reaches you through the same service that rewrote the text. On Pro and Advanced, the Premium engine's loading messages include "Evaluating AI detection scores" and "Selecting the winning result," which describes the engine checking drafts against detection scores before choosing one.

Detectors also disagree with each other. The RAID benchmark (ACL 2024) found that different detectors broke down under different kinds of edits, and some grew more accurate after paraphrasing. Worth skipping: marketers, agencies and freelancers producing landing pages or product descriptions; anyone publishing client work without a full line edit; and anyone writing in a language other than English. The site claims no other languages. An account speaking for the company in its subreddit says it supports several, but a user in that same thread reported French input coming back partly in English.
